I’m New!

Welcome to St Werburgh’s!

We’ll be pleased to see you at any of our services or events.

We should be better at welcoming visitors and new people than we often are. We do try. Please consider introducing yourself to any of the priests on duty that day, and, of course, to anyone else. In short, if you want to know more, please ask.

Whilst you are visiting our site a good place to start is here, where we briefly describe ourselves and our understanding of the Christian Gospel. You’ll find more about the Christian life in these pages.  Details of some people can be found here. We are a rather diverse crowd, and at the same time a traditional parish church that is reflected in the range of groups we have.

We’re delighted you are with us (or thinking of coming along).  We hope it may be for a good long time, but we know that some people find it helpful to journey with us only for a while, as part of a wider exploration. We’re just glad to have you with us for as long as that turns out to be.

If you are finding it difficult to find your footing or discover what’s going on do please get in touch with Canon Julian the vicar.  He’ll be very glad to hear from you. So will the Churchwardens and any member of the PCC.

You will find ‘Green Cards’ near the church entrance ‘Welcome to St Werburgh’s’. Fill in one of these and pop it in the box by the noticeboard if you want to be added to our mailing list.  It also means you will be contacted about events aimed at recent joiners.

If its easier, you can fill the Green Card on line, here. Welcome!

I’d like to get more involved…

If you have time and talents to offer, use the contact form to tell us how. Your details are sent to the parish secretary who will send it on to the best person to respond.  You should hear from someone soon.  Thanks!

Christ did not come so that we could do church and do that more often. He came so we could have life and that more abundantly.
