This year our Advent and Christmas Charity is the Padley Group who provide essential hospitality and care for the most vulnerable in our city.  This year we are providing 4 ways we can all take part and support this essential work.

THE FOUR WAYS:

COLLECTING BOXES

We have collecting boxes available at church and at St Werburgh’s School.  Just collect all your spare change and when its full bring it in.  If you giftaid Padley get an extra 25%

WINTER WARMER KITS

We are asking you to put together a winter warmer kit, using thermal items available at all the local supermarkets.  Each kit has:

• A thermal hat
• Thermal socks
• A thermal scarf
• Warm knickers or boxer shorts. (Please indicate if your kit is for a man or a woman.)
• Thermal gloves
• 200g of chocolate

ONLY NEW ITEMS….. The kits can be left at school or at church.

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR

Why not collect for a revers Advent calendar, placing an item like a bag of sugar, a box of biscuits, a tin of soup in a box each day then bring the full box to church at Christmas… we’ll make sure it gets to Padley … this is a really good way to involve kids.

COMMIT TO GIVE THIS MONTH
Commit it a more substantial financial contribution, you can even send this webpage to family members or friends who might want to do something positive as part of their Christmas.  We have gift aid forms available for you to write your commitment and giftaid it.  Donations can be made by card at Church.
