Advent and Christmas 2020

This year Advent and Christmas are going to look a bit different!

The most important thing any of us can do is make sure we are safe and we do not put others at unnecessary risk.  For that reason the usual big events at the Parish Church cannot take place safely.

CHRISTMAS APPEAL

We are trying lots of ideas in our online world to raise money for Aspire and the Foodbank at St Mark’s.  Click on the pic for a reverse advent calendar to collect goods for the foodbank – its an instructive way to involve our kids in the issue of food poverty.

This Advent and Christmas we are focussing on the Prophet Isaiah.

There is opportunity to engage with others to read the Book of Isaiah together, a WhatsApp Group to ask questions.  There’s some study sessions and there is a weekly Lectio Group to discern what Isaiah might be saying to you.  Click on the image to see what’s going on.

Advent and Christmas for Kids.

Click on the pic for more information on what we are doing online and at home with our younger parishioners.  It just is not possible for us to meet safely for the usual events, but we are finding creative ways to make the most of Advent and Christmas together.

Services through Advent and Christmas.

We will not be able to host our usual great services this year, we simply cannot fit that many people into the building safely.  So we are engaging in different ways to try and provide services that engage as many people as possible.   Click on the pic for more details.

We are here for you through this difficult period….

Christmas can be a stressful time of year, even without a pandemic!  We are very aware that we need to provide activities and services that can engage and provide connection.

If you need to talk then get in touch … you can call Fr J on 01332 673 573 or his mobile 07530984137 or CLICK ON THIS LINK and someone will make contact.
